From the Barrier Reef, we headed for the Outback. We again took a small plane from Lizard Island to Cairns, and then flew inland to Ayer's Rock. While here, we hiked into the Seven Sisters rock formation, and saw Ayer's rock both as the sun was setting, and then the next morning, as the sun rose. We then visited some of the sites in and around the rock, where the Anangu left their stories as art on the rocks.
