We had a brief afternoon tour of the town of Guilin. After lunch, we went over to the nearby park to see the Elephant Rock. Legend has it the Li River is shallow because the elephant drinks too much...
Next up was Fubo Hill, which inside has carved Buddas and inscriptions dating back to the Tang dynasty (620-900 AD).
We finished the day with a tour to a local university and a lesson on traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy.
