After leaving the Serengeti, we took a bush plane back to Nairobi, and another plane up to Samburu, an area that starts to border with the desert. Here, everything is clustered around the river, and plants grow smaller, animals tend to be more dust colored, and lion manes are shorter. Here we saw Grevy's Zebra, Gerenuks, Oryx, Reticulated Giraffes, as well as the leopards, elephants, impalas and others that we would see elsewhere.
