On our first day in Shanghai, we started with a visit to the Old Town, and the Yu Gardens - a very calm, restful place buried in this city of 14.5 million.
We then went to the Urban Planning Center, which has a full model of Shanghai, and helps show the huge number of buildings, and how they are planning for the additional 5 million new residents!
From there, we sent to the Shanghai museum, displaying cultural artifacts up to 10,000 years old! Unfortunately, no photography permitted...
In the evening, we attended a show by one of the troupes associated with the Shanghai Acrobatic Circus.
