Some friends invited Eric to go with them to Fiji, to where they are building a Fijian style resort. The facility was on a beach called Waitatavi, and is across a relatively narrow channel from the Fijian island of Taveuni. Although Eric doesn't dive, there was still plenty to do - hiking around the beach and the ridge behind the beach, taking part in the first Waitatavi golf tournament, watching the sand crabs scurry around each morning and evening, and one day going over to Taveuni and hiking along a coastal path.
