Although we had significant trouble getting there (cancelled flight, redirected to different cities, etc.), we eventually arrived at Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. Our tour had actually visited the crater the day we arrived, and we were fearful we were going to miss out. Our guide wasn't able to let us go a whole day, but she did arrange for us to go down a little earlier, and then take a shorter route to the Serengeti, allowing us to spend a few hours in Ngorongoro. And what a few hours they were!
