Rovinj was our first stop in Croatia. We took an excursion to the town of Porec, wandering around the old Roman roads, and visiting the 6th century Basilica of Euphrasis. We then returned to Rovinj (stopping for some wine tasting along the way.) In Rovinj, we wandered the old town, and not only climbed up to the Church of St Euphemia, but climbed the rickety wooden stairs of the bell tower for the view over all of Rovinj.
