On this trip we traveled to Egypt with our friends Sherry and Wes, and then continued on to Jordan. It was amazing to actually visit places that you have seen so many times in photos and movies, and to learn the details of their histories.
We started in Cairo for a couple days, then flew to Luxor for a couple days. We left Luxor and boarded a small boat to sail up the Nile for 4 nights, stopping at archaeological sites along the way. We left the cruise in Aswan where we then spent a couple of days seeing surrounding sites.
We then flew to Jordan, spending several days exploring the areas around Amman, Petra, and the Dead Sea.
It was truly a once in a lifetime trip!
