Klaipeda, Lithuania is a major industrial port town. It sits on a lagoon that opens to the Baltic. The lagoon is formed by a very long sand bar that streches across two countries. We spent a little time at the end of our excursion in Klaipeda proper, but most of the time was spent over on the peninsula/sand bar. The main focus of our tour was "Witches Hill", a path with 100 wooden carvings about various local folk tales. We also visited a couple small resort towns, and headed over the sand bar to the beach on the Baltic side. After our tour, we wandered around Klapedia's central area.
