We spent three days in St Petersburg, and took two excursions each day, so it was a pretty hectic pace. (Plus, each excursion meant passing through Russian immigration on the way off and back on the ship.) We walked through the Hermitage, saw Swan Lake as a Russian ballet, visited three cathedrals, traveled out to Catherine's Palace followed by a Russian meal in a restaurant, toured the Faberge Museum, and took a river cruise. On top of all that, it was Navy Day which is a big yearly event in St Petersburg since Peter the Great founded the navy in St Petersburg. Realized we were going to need a vacation after our vacation...
